Continuance Immersive Commemoration

Kaha:wi Dance Theatre and the Woodland Cultural Centre co-present Continuance Immersive Commemoration, a site-responsive performance marking the reopening of the former Mohawk Institute as an Interpretive Historic Site and Educational Resource. This immersive work honours the voices and resilience of Survivors while reflecting on cultural continuance and collective responsibility.
Through contemporary Indigenous performance and embodied storytelling, the event recognizes the tenth anniversary of the Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action and celebrates Kaha:wi Dance Theatre’s 20th Anniversary and Woodland Cultural Centres 50th Anniversary
